Systematic Debug is now free to read and download

A practical production-floor guide for technicians who need to turn a failed-board symptom into a defensible disposition.

International Tech Resource has released the free public review edition of Systematic Debug: A Production Technician's Guide to Troubleshooting Electronics. The full book is available online, as a 230-page PDF, and as an EPUB, with no signup or paywall.

The book connects bench technique to the production system around it. Its 45 chapters and appendices cover controlled intake, schematics, failure chains, half-split, signal tracing, hypothesis testing, meters and scopes, controlled power-up, thermal comparison, rework boundaries, fixtures and ATE, documentation, quality integration, escalation, and complete case studies.

The release was revised to make safety and evidence boundaries explicit: current limiting is not proof of a short, a reference board does not define acceptance, visual anomalies do not prove counterfeiting, and a successful component substitution does not by itself establish the physical damage mechanism.
