Current front-page update is capped at six items. This pass focuses on AI-ready scientific data infrastructure, agent communications standards, measured coding-agent workflows, open photonic-computing research, next-generation national-laboratory supercomputing, and additive-manufacturing approaches to water harvesting.
Every update includes a next step. Each current story is paired with a resource an individual can use to learn the foundation, practice the skill, inspect the standard, or apply the work.

Update cadence
- Minimum: one weekday source check.
- Default: two weekday checks, morning and late afternoon or evening.
- Weekend: one lighter scan only when something is worth including.
- Rapid-moving exception: add manual checks only when a technology story is materially changing.
- Quality rule: fewer stronger links beat a long list of weak links.
Selection rules
- Prefer original reporting, primary sources, official publications, research, and credible technical writing.
- Trace secondary stories upstream to the original source before using them.
- Prefer accessible original sources over paywalled reader paths.
- Include a link only when a reader can learn something useful from it.
- Pair every current item with at least one practical reader resource: a primer, course, tool, standard, dataset, guide, or hands-on path.
- Give every published edition a permanent dated page and use it to improve, repair, or expand the permanent resource library.
- Do not manufacture a weak update or add filler merely because an automated check ran.
- Keep summaries short and original. Do not copy full articles.
- Flag sponsorships, affiliate links, or commercial relationships clearly.
